hail caesar

Well, it's well and truly been raining this morning. Or hailing, more like it. The ice-rink in Piccadilly Gardens looks decidedly damp and watery, and the sparkly white fruzz-ness around the pipes has turned into slightly brown, tired slush. It matches the general Somme-effect landscaping which seems to be taking over the Gardens at the moment.

Still, it'll be lovely when it's finished and full of skaters. Getting their fingers sliced off, probably.

I've just been offered some promotional postcards of George Michael - currently the most exciting thing going on in Manchester, according to some people. I missed all the excitement as I was sadly hungover and stayed in watching football.
